I have some good news to share, which is a nice change from my usual worries or complaints! First, C was able to start OT and PT last week, so will get a month of services in before the summer. He seems to enjoy them both, so he is only a bit bothered that I have [...] I got offered the job I interviewed for not long ago. There are some positive aspects to it, but I still don’t find myself enthusiastic about returning to my old line of work. Also, the job would require a lot of driving and is a rather large pay cut from what I had been making just [...] I went on a job interview today. It would be a return to my old line of work, which I’m not too thrilled about. I just don’t have the same passion for it as I once had. Still, if I don’t get into graduate school this fall, it may make sense for me to just go [...] After being wait-listed for my first choice graduate program in developmental psychology, I tried to put a positive spin on my second choice program. It was in educational psychology, which I have a much stronger background for with a masters degree in education plus additional post-graduate work. I knew the first program was a long shot, [...] Things have been pretty up in the air lately, which is not a feeling I enjoy. I like having a plan and following that plan! Adjusting a plan is ok, since that would lead to a new plan. While I was thrilled to be one of the select few applicants to get an interview with my first choice graduate school, the interview itself was extremely disappointing.
